Riolo Instructors Dance with the Media Stars

Riolo Dance Studio is pleased to sponsor Indy's own version of Dancing With the Stars --  Media Stars, that is!  The project began when organizers for the Elizabella Ball (a fund-raiser for Catholic Charities) asked Marie Riolo Roach, studio owner, long-time dance instructor and supporter of dance and charities in Indianapolis, if she would be willing to partner with them in putting together a Dancing with the Stars Program for their 2008 event.  Several local media stars volunteered their time--not a small commitment for people with little or no dance experience to learn a routine well enough to perform in front of hundreds of people and look good in the process!  The Riolo instructors volunteered their time--countless hours spent in choreographing routines and then practicing with their stars.   Riolo Dance Studio donated the use of their dance floor for all practice--an estimated 100+ hours.  On the night of the big event,  the couples performed in front of a live audience whose members then voted for their favorite couple.  Though it is a lot of work, all the stars and instructors look forward to these events as an opportunity to do their part for Indianapolis charities.
